10 great Christmas gifts for: Him and Her!

Hi, there friend, welcome to the last day of gift week here on the blog. I thought it best to combine the last two categories to make the theme ‘his and her’. So, without further ado, let us dive into the picks from Woolworths for today.

Please note that this post is not sponsored. I just seriously just have a thing for Woolworths goodies. The opinion of the best Christmas gifts is totally my own! Woolworths have a great range of products to choose from, these are just the ones that stood out for me.

Let’s start with the lady, after all, it is ladies first, right? 😉  Well, I think it is quite easy to buy gifts for your fellow girlfriend, sister and/or mother. But let’s face it, some women are just soooo picky or they already have everything you want to buy them. The easiest thing to buy this type of lady is a voucher. That way she can buy anything she wants or needs. And best of all, she cannot complain about the ‘lousy’ gift you gave her – even if you thought it was the most thoughtful gift ever.

The rest of the picks that I have are pretty generic, but most women like to receive jewelry, a handbag/purse and or perfume.

Rose gold has made such a statement the last year. It has made its way into home décor, jewelry and even some clothing pieces have rocked this beautiful metal. Rose gold, to me, is so feminine. And I would like to have a watch, just like this one. It would match my beautiful engagement ring, perfectly.

Pearl earrings are a great staple accessory for any wardrobe. You can wear it with a casual or a formal outfit.  I like to wear my pearl stud earrings with almost all my outfits on a daily basis. They are a timeless classic. They will make a great gift for that classic lady you need to buy a gift for.

Bangles are another great accessory to have. But I will not recommend it if you work the whole day on a computer. I’ve found that bangles, especially the ones that go ‘cling-a-ling’, just get in the way. Rather keep it to for the weekend. I had to put these stackable bangles on the list. The diamonds are classy and they will perk up any outfit. I would wear them with a cute dress and some heels for date night. Ooh, and those pearl earrings will be a great match!

Now let’s talk about bags…. If you are a girl like me, you like bags. Period. This handbag is a real stable piece for me. The colour of the handbag enables you to wear it with any colour outfit. And it is a blend of casual and formal, which makes it perfect for everyday use.

Woolworths have a great variety of cosmetic bags lately. If you have a friend that loves makeup and you don’t know what to buy her, give her something to put her makeup in! Maybe even add a few makeup brushes. This Flawless cosmetic bag is one of my favorites.

A great gift idea for the girl who travels a lot is a cute and matching toiletry bag set. To make the gift even more special you can buy a bag that’s her favorite colour.

For the girl who loves her coffee, a mug is always welcome. Especially this cute mug with the mermaid tail scales on them. Up your gifting game by adding some rusks, cookies, chocolates or her favorite coffee with the mug.

Lastly is the more the more expensive item on the list. Every single lady is unique, and having a signature perfume that describes your personality is so special. Spoil yourself this Christmas and buy that perfume, you deserve it! I’ve been eyeing Daisy from Marc Jacobs and Be Delicious from DKNY lately.

Let’s move on to the men. I don’t know about you, but I find it difficult to buy gifts for the men in my life. They either have everything they need or have ridiculously expensive taste!

But here is my go-to list if I am not sure what to buy!

Let’s start with the accessories. Remember, men do like to have some nice bling as well! The accessory category is especially for the man who is in-tune with his image and knows what he is worth. So why not buy him a nice watch and some cool shades to match? This nice braided bracelet will round off his casual outfit.

If you have a guy that works in an office all day, you can buy him a nice set of new ties. Or anything that will jazz up his suit! Some other suit accessories to remember – tie clip, cufflinks, pocket square and a lapel pin. A nice leather wallet is also a nice touch.

For the man who likes to take care of himself and shave often, you can buy him this nice shaving kit. And to finish it off you can get him his favorite aftershave or EDT! Just like women, men also have their signature fragrances. Just ask him what he is wearing that day and notice if he wears it often. You can never go wrong with this type of gift!

Everyone loves a good braai! So why not spoil him with a new pair of genuine leather braai gloves. And you can never have enough of these enamel roaster pots! They are fancy enough that your significant other can put the pot on the table without messing up your pretty table setting. Win-win!

And if all else fails or you run out of time – there is always a voucher!

Thanks for joining me this week. I really hope you had as much fun reading these posts as I did creating them. Enjoy your weekend!

Till our next coffee!!

7 great gift ideas for decor lovers

Hi friend, welcome back to the continuation of “Gift Week”! Yesterday I shared gift ideas for the baker and the cook in your life and today I’m excited to share some of my favorite picks from Woolworths for decor lovers!

Please note that this post is not sponsored. I just seriously just have a thing for Woolworths goodies. The opinion of the best Christmas gifts is totally my own! Woolworths have a great range of products to choose from, these are just the ones that stood out for me and what I would like to receive.

These gifts are orientated towards the living and dining room, but these spaces are in my opinion, probably are the ones we use the most. And there is nothing that I enjoy more than a space that is inviting and well decorated. I’ve really been loving teal, neutrals, and gold lately. Metals have made a big statement the last year or so! And I just cannot help but gravitate towards it. I’ve actually bought some rose gold pieces for Wiehann’s TV room. Luckily he didn’t mind 🙂

Aren’t these pillows just too cute! I already have some teal pillows and this one would just fit my collection perfectly. And a collection of throw pillows are not complete without a lovely fur pillow!

When it comes to curtains I like to always choose neutrals. This way I can decorate and change colour palettes without buying new curtains. Because let’s face it, good quality curtains are just too expensive to buy everytime you want to change up the look of your room. I don’t normally like patterns on curtains, but this Damask pattern curtain is just so lovely!

Nice photo frames are all the rage right now! And you just don’t have to use it for photos. You can put a nice printable in it, or use a dry erase marker to write yourself a motivational quote on the glass. This frame really caught my eye. I have a few light wooded frames in my collection, and I do like a nice floral pattern once in a while. This frame is a mix of both – bonus!

I like big and classic decor pieces. This way I don’t have to buy a lot of separate smaller pieces to decorate a space. And I can always add to my collection of decor pieces and don’t have to worry about my space looking dated next season. This vase and hurricane candle holder fit this description perfectly! The teal planter pot will add just the right amount of colour to any space.

No room is complete without a pretty lamp. This pretty lampshade and lamp base will go great together. Just imagine sitting next to this lamp and reading a great book sipping your favorite cup of coffee during the holidays… ahhh bliss!

That’s it for today. Thank you for reading my gift ideas for the home decorator. I hope you’ve found the tips helpful and that you got some inspiration along the way!

Till our next coffee!

Christmas gifts from Woolworths

Isn’t Woolworths the best shop ever?! They just basically have something for everyone! And I think Woolworths gifts are some of the best gifts you can get.

Some people argue that their prices are too high, and I mostly agree with them. But you just cannot deny the quality of their products. One piece of clothing can last you several seasons if you take care of it. And I believe in the saying ‘goed koop is duur koop’.

So, I thought it best to compile a few posts this week that will list a few gift ideas from different categories. Namely: for the baker, for the cook, the home decorator, spa treats, the lady, and the metro man.

Please note that this post is not sponsored. I just seriously just have a thing for Woolworths goodies. The opinion of the best Chritmas gifts is totally my own! These gifts are also a bit more on the affordable side. Woolworths have a great range of products to choose from, these are just the ones that stood out for me and what I would like to receive.
